The Federal Government has called for applications from service providers to deliver the first round of the government’s Digital Hubs and Digital Enterprises programs.

The Digital Hubs program will establish a Digital Hub in each of the 40 communities that first benefit from the National Broadband Network (NBN).

The Digital Enterprise program will provide training and advice to small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) and not-for-profit organisations (NFPs)—including local cultural institutions—in communities that first benefit from the NBN.

The government is seeking applications from local organisations in the communities of the first five NBN mainland first-release sites of Brunswick (Vic), Armidale and Kiama (NSW), Townsville (Qld) and Willunga (SA) and three stage one communities in Tasmania of Scottsdale, Smithton and Midway Point. Applications close 5 October this year.
