The Federal Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, Senator Stephen Conroy, will host the Korea-Australia-New Zealand (KANZ) Broadband Summit in Hobart this week, together with the Chairman of the Korea Communications Commission and the New Zealand Minister for Communications and Information Technology.

 

The KANZ Summit will bring together industry, research and government representatives to share insights into their experiences in developing broadband-enabled digital economies and to explore potential joint ventures.

 

Topics to be discussed include convergence, digital business, digital education, telehealth, cloud computing, privacy and data security, broadband policy and digital heritage.

 

The KANZ Broadband Summit 2011: Digital Futures is being held from 28 to 29 April 2011 at the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Hobart, Tasmania.

 

The Summit is part of the Australian-Korean bilateral Year of Friendship, declared to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the strength of Australia-ROK relations.
