Data storage company NEXTDC has announced the appointment of Paul Gampe as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer.

In the position, Mr Gampe will be responsible for the company’s information systems and ongoing technology strategy and customer facing platforms including the company’s Data Centre as a Service (DCaaS) platform ONEDC.

NEXTDC’s CEO, Craig Scroggie, said that the company was delighted to welcome Paul to the position.

“Paul will play an integral role directing the Company’s information systems and technology group. Paul’s substantial experience in leading global software engineering and development will be an important asset in NEXTDC’s leadership team,” Mr Scroggie said.

Prior to Mr Gampe appointment, he served as General Manager of TWICS, the first public Internet Service Provider in Japan. In 1998 he lead Technical Operations for the Asia-Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC), one of the five worldwide registries that govern the distribution of Internet resources.
