We currently have a rare opportunity for an experienced ICT delivery professional at senior executive level to join Digital Technology and Innovation Command (DTI). There has never been a more exciting time to join the NSW Police Force as the organisation is in full flight undertaking its largest ICT operational transformation program.

About the role
This role sits in the Digital Technology and Innovation (DTI) Command but works very closely with the Forensic Evidence Technical Services. The CIT Program Manager will contribute to the transformational process of NSWPF and lead the delivery of new solutions in line with its vision. This dynamic position will provide the right incumbent an opportunity to deliver technology capabilities for both NSWPF and other law enforcement agencies in the areas of evidence collection, collation and analysis. The aim is to generate improved productivity for law enforcement agencies and improved investigation and therefore justice system related outcomes.

The role will have dealings across multiple stakeholders within DTI as well as other stakeholders across the wider NSW Police Force. You will be required be proactive in your approach and to lead the project / program to deliver required results.

You will be a team player, engaging with stakeholders on a daily basis and challenged to think and solve business problems and identify effective solutions. You will be an outcome focused person with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to deliver on time and on budget while managing risks to ensure successful results.

Essential requirements

  • Obtain and maintain the requisite security clearances for this position including Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1).

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology and/or equivalent experience in a related field.Hold a current driver’s licence with no traffic offences recorded on their driving history within the last six (6) months.

  • Experience in delivering and managing diverse information and technology systems to a large organisation.

Other requirements:
  • Proven experience in successfully delivering multimillion-dollar information technology projects for large scale organisation, preferably within politically sensitive environments.
  • Ability to analyse / review and ultimately recommend technology solutions which consider enterprise technology architecture and integrate with existing infrastructure to meet business and legislative requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing challenging stakeholders and risks while delivering project outcomes.
  • Business, commercial, political acumen to achieve outcomes combined with clear understanding of the dynamic nature of IT delivery in a policing or 24/7 operational environment.
  • Ability to analyse / review and ultimately recommend technology solutions which consider enterprise technology architecture and integrate with existing infrastructure to meet business and legislative requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing challenging stakeholders and risks while delivering project outcomes.
  • Business, commercial, political acumen to achieve outcomes combined with clear understanding of the dynamic nature of IT delivery in a policing or 24/7 operational environment.

Demonstrate your experience in managing or contributing to a large ICT project which has been assessed by the NSW ICT Assurance framework, or other comparable framework, outlining your involvement at various gateway stages.

Target Question 2:
Demonstrate your experience in leading a cross-functional team whilst managing multiple, often challenging, stakeholders to meet strict project timeframes and successfully deliver agreed outcomes.
