About the role

As part of the role you will have an opportunity to work with stakeholders to understand technical operational needs and provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support. You will have the opportunity to work as a technical lead on exciting projects and deliver enablement to our frontline Police Officers. This role is initially for 18 months with the potential to extend, based at our Parramatta offices.  

This unique role will provide the incumbent with an opportunity to bring connection between business requirements and systems, working with various teams to shape the future of policing, helping create a safer NSW. Working with internal stakeholders, your main responsibility will be to develop high-level designs and provide technical input to users.

Being an exceptional communicator with a curious mindset, you will have an ability to explain the project goals and map out the process with the help of the Solution Architects and a Software Engineers to create value chain and business capability models to bring business solutions into reality.

This is a dynamic role which will provide the right incumbent an ability to grow and develop their skills further. The role will suit an energetic, dynamic and flexible person who is willing to learn, ask the right questions, collaborate with stakeholders on a daily basis and be a great team player who will be challenged to think and solve business problems and identify effective solution on a daily basis.

Essential requirements 

  • Obtain and maintain the requisite security clearances for this position.
  • Tertiary level qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent industry experience.

Other requirements

  • Extensive experience in a similar role as a Systems Administrator within a Government departments or private enterprise.
  • Solid knowledge and experience implementing, maintaining and administering infrastructure services within Windows Server Admin, System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Cloud Infrastructure Maintenance (Azure/AWS).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Exceptional Stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
