Systems Integration Testing Engineering Lead

Queensland Rail has a current project pipeline of over A$10 billion and this is expected to grow exponentially in the build-up to the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games.  As a result of this significant investment, the need to secure in-house signalling and systems assurance resources is paramount.

Based in Brisbane, we currently have a full time permanent opportunity for a Systems Integration Testing Engineering Lead to lead the review and management of Systems Integration testing activities at a system level including field and inputs from System Integration Labs from an Rail Transport Operator's (RTO) perspective and provide technical support and direction as required for complex systems.

Key selection criteria

• High levels of skill in leadership and setting strategic direction in a dynamic project environment.
• High level of interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and drive strategic outcomes.
• High level of skill in managing Systems Integration Testing programs and integrating complex technical issues into fit for purpose solutions.
• Extensive level of knowledge of RTO requirements and of local and international Testing standards, frameworks and best practice.
• High level of skill in managing rail corridor System Integration activities.
• Substantial level of knowledge of governance, risk and compliance as it relates to Systems Integration Testing activities and its application to the regulation of risk mitigation for complex railway infrastructure projects.
• High level of skill in the delivery of business focused technical and professional systems engineering solutions that deliver commercial value in area of systems integration and verification and practice including the verification of system and subsystem requirements, testing issues management and report generation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (essential).
• Professional Engineer (Queensland) Registered (RPEQ) preferred.
