Senior Finance Functional Analyst/Developer (C++/PeopleSoft)

With the country depending upon our systems being secure, highly resilient and efficient, you will work within the Bank’s Information Technology (IT) department, and experience the capability-building opportunity to work with critical technology platforms.

Your team

As the Senior Functional Analyst for the Finance Systems team you will be part of the broader high performing and collaborative IT department. You will be part of a team of functional and technical specialists who will be actively working across key Finance initiatives.

Your background

You will arrive with previous expertise in developing financial accounting solutions written in C++, Microsoft SQL, SSIS and SSRS reporting to provide specialised finance application service delivery for the implementation and support of Finance technology solutions. You will have hands on Finance product solutions experience as well in BAU Operations, Incident Management, SLA’s, prioritisation of work, delivery of projects and business engagement to resolve issues and ensure there is an alignment to the Bank's enterprise architecture, security, risk and IT standards and policies.

To be successful in this critical role you will:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate, influence and partner effectively with key internal/external stakeholders.
  • Have proven skills in business analysis and business writing as well as extensive design, develop, delivery and support experience.
  • Previous experience in design and support of financial systems.  
  • Knowledge in Investment Accounting is highly desirable.
  • Experience in PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 and/or IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) are desirable.
  • Proven experience in leading incident, problem and continuous improvement initiatives for the Finance Systems portfolio.
  • Be an energetic strategic thinker who has considerable attention to detail. Information Technology or relevant degree qualifications.
  • Continuously increase Finance application and tools knowledge through reading, classes, participation in user group meetings or other mechanisms.
