About the opportunity 

The Faculty Education Innovation team provides a range of high quality support services to Sciences academic staff, in relation to teaching in line with Faculty and University policies and procedures.

The Educational Designer has been created to work with academic staff and enrich the student experience, meet targets aligned with the Facultys eLearning strategy and advance the reputation of the Faculty and University more generally. You will also support staff in the use of enterprise eLearning level tools and systems. This position sits within the Facultys Science Curriculum Project and is part of the Faculty Education Innovation team.

In this position, you will:

  • provide expertise, advice and support to the Facultys academic staff in the design and delivery of laboratories and/or on-line teaching to enhance the student experience
  • design creative student centred learning experiences
  • design and deliver cutting edge eLearning and multimedia sites
  • design and conduct workshops and one-on-one coach

About you

  • Bachelor degree or higher in a relevant field or equivalent
  • demonstrated capacity to design educational resources
  • demonstrated capacity to create effective user documentation in various media
  • ability to work in a complex and challenging environment.
