About the opportunity 

This position’s primary function is to coordinate and provide innovative analysis, reporting and visualisation of information as it relates to the institutional research performance and productivity reporting.  This includes writing reports for the University community, while ensuring that the University’s research performance is accurately presented. The incumbent in this position will work within the Analytics Research & Development team and across other teams within RRADS; he/she will be expected to work independently, employing sound judgement, initiative and innovation to negotiate across teams and resources to deliver required outcomes.

• demonstrated knowledge of a range of data manipulation techniques to ensure data consistency across datasets extracted from various sources
• demonstrated ability to build efficient working relationships with key stakeholders.
• demonstrated understanding of the theory and application of key visual design principles
• demonstrated capability in data manipulation packages (such as SQL, R and Python and Alteryx)
• demonstrated capability in data visualisation tools (such as R, D3.js) and prerequisite technologies (such as HTML, CSS, Javascript and JQuery).

Candidates with an understanding of University research performance indicators will be highly regarded.
