IT Service Desk Officer

The Information Technology Service Unit (IT) is responsible for the provision, development and ongoing support of Council’s information technology resources.

 

 As an IT Service Desk Officer, you will:

  • Deliver professional, friendly and responsive IT customer service, training and communication for all customers
  • Improve and enhance technical knowledge of customers
  • Ensure sound professional advice to customers

 

Desirable criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification in the area of Information Technology or similar or experience in a service desk environment
  • ITIL certified and other industry certifications
  • The ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues to resolution and/or escalate as required
  • Well-developed PC support skills and underlying knowledge of relevant software and operating systems as required
  • Experience in applying technical knowledge to install, support and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications
  • Demonstrated ability in managing time, plan and organise work

 

Benefits:

  • Salary range $72,234.85 - $85,118.77 plus 10% super
  • Permanent full-time position. 38 hours per week plus monthly RDO
