Energy Transformation Engineer

 
About the Role
 
The Energy Transformation team is principally responsible for advising on and managing all matters relating to opportunities in emissions, carbon to value products and new energy production solutions. As an Energy Transformation Engineer, you will provide engineering and innovation expertise to the Technology function, enabling the delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions, that will support a portfolio of transformation projects.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
 
Your primary remit will be to drive the delivery of technology solutions in support of Woodside’s long-term business and sustainability objectives. Through exploring emerging technologies, partnering with our expanding ecosystem of research partners and industry specialists and scoping potential pilots, you will bring innovation opportunities from concept through to scalable programmes. Day to day, your work could include such activities as screening qualification of new technologies and their potential application, promote relevant cross-functional collaborations in pursuit of mutual transformation outcomes and preparing reports and presentations for all business levels.
Skills & Experience
 
The ideal candidate will come from a technical engineering background, with experience in a range of environments including commissioning and operations. Demonstratable experience working across technology development engineering activities will be critical to success in this role. A natural ability to assess technology proposals with an engineering and business value perspective will be highly beneficial.

Critical analysis, problem solving, contextual communication and relationship management skills will be utilised daily in this position. Applicants with a proven capacity to think strategically, exercise discretion, work autonomously and have a natural curiosity of the new and possible, will be best aligned with the performance profile of this team.
