The City of Stonnington has an exciting full time opportunity for a motivated Spatial Systems Officer to join our Planning and Amenity Division located at our modern and sustainable office in Malvern. This position is temporary for a 12 month period beginning in March 2019. This is an excellent opportunity to use your initiative and problem solving skills to provide GIS solutions to support corporate business units across Council.
In this position you will provide internal customers at the City of Stonnington with a number of products and services including maintaining the interface between relevant corporate systems and the GIS, corporate GIS analysis and mapping and consultancy support.
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in GIS, spatial information, geomatics or equivalent with proven experience of SQL server, GIS Software (including Mapinfo and QGIS) and knowledge in 3D applications and FME is preferable. Additionally you will need good interpersonal and problem solving skills and demonstrated clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. Graduates are encouraged to apply.
