About the role:

Reporting to the Commercial Assurance Data Engineer, this role supports our retail teams by providing proactive analytical support for optimisation around revenue and cost transactions. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams to discover solutions and improve business outcomes.

In this role, you’ll be:

• Supporting the commercial assurance team to deliver the integrated assurance roadmap and plan.
• Using a variety of data analysis methods and data tools you will build and implement workflows that drive insights to improve risk associated with revenue and cost processes.
• Developing and documenting business rules around data to ensure consistent and clear reporting across numerous stakeholder groups.
• Transforming the structure of data as required to interface with reporting applications.
• Developing and maintaining systems and tools to effectively support continued improvement initiative.

Ideally, you’ll bring to the role:

• Relevant experience working in a similar role, ideally in the energy industry.
• Demonstrated analytical, commercial and critical thinking abilities combined with a strong attention to detail.
• Experience in SQL, Excel, and analytics tools such as Alteryx and Databricks.
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new skills.

This role would be best suited to someone who is both technically and commercially minded with a strong data background and has a natural flair for building robust relationships with multiple stakeholders across the business.?
