Cyber Security Engineer - SPLUNK, Azure, AWS - Federal Govt

One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments is looking to engage a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to deliver Engineering and Administrative services for security infrastructure tools and platforms. The successful Cyber Security Engineer will be offered a 12 month contract with a further 2 years of extensions.

The successful Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to: 

• Maintaining SPLUNK infrastructure and similar products
• Logging ingestion from hybrid hosting platforms, including Azure and Amazon Web Services
• Applying cyber security techniques, threats and vulnerabilities to mitigate cyber security risks
• Working within a team environment and share knowledge.

The successful Cyber Security Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Minimum three years’ experience in a cyber security field with technical tertiary qualifications, Microsoft or Splunk certifications advantageous.
• Experience maintaining SPLUNK infrastructure, or managing a similar product
• Demonstrated knowledge of log ingestion from hybrid hosting platforms,  including Azure and Amazon Web Services.

• In depth understanding of current cyber security techniques to mitigate risks and experience with Linux systems.
