As a Software Engineer in one of our Scrum teams, you will develop and automate the testing of robust, adaptable code that is always production-ready. Through collaboration with other developers your work will improve the digital banking experience for our customers and our staff.

What are you going to do?

• Working along the full lifecycle of software engineering from idea to working production
• Designing reusable services following Service Oriented Design principles
• Engineering solutions which are highly secure and performant at scale
• Writing code that is easy to read, highly maintainable, and written with automated testing in mind
• Learning and pro-actively adopting the continuous delivery and continuous improvement methodologies (CI/CD), practice and attitudes / mindsets
• Encouraging and promoting Agile / Scrum practice, methodologies and attitudes as well as establishing Agile leadership behaviours
• Ensuring effective documentation and communication of knowledge, system and process as well as effective communication of scope, progress, concerns, issues

What are we looking for? Someone who has…

• 2+ years experience in development/software engineering (core JAVA, Spring)
• Passion for, and demonstrable 1+ years of experience with developing and delivering Full stack application
• Understanding of tools across full software delivery lifecycle, e.g. test, mocking, source control (Git), CI, work tracking, defect management, etc
• Experience and appreciation for UX
• Experience working with Agile and delivery of sizable software applications / projects
• Knowledge of other layers in a typical stack
