The Applications Group within CSIRO IM&T develops software solutions that support CSIRO’s science and business functions. The team supports in excess of 100 products; ranging from in-house developed to custom configured and the hosting of "off the shelf" products. The team operates using agile practices and has a policy of continuous review and improvements. Our environment encourages innovation and provides the technology and autonomy to get on with delivery.
We need Project Managers that can lead, inspire and empower our project teams, stakeholders and customers; Project Managers that understand the benefits of servant leadership and self- directed teams and the need to remove external impediments for team and project success.
The Project Manager, in managing one or more IT projects using Agile Software Delivery Methodologies, will work in an interdisciplinary team involving researchers, business representatives, software developers, business analysts and test analysts and will operate in an agile and highly collaborative environment.

This is a security assessed position. Applicants must either hold or have the ability to obtain a Negative Vetting 1 Australian Government security clearance or undergo other employment suitability checks.
Location: Yarralumla, Clayton, VIC
Salary: $106K - $124K pa plus up to 15.4% superannuation
Tenure: Indefinite and Specified Term roles available
To be successful you will need:
5+ years’ experience in a project management role or experience in a related discipline coupled with relevant training
2+ years’ experience in a project management role using agile methodologies.
Demonstrated success in the delivery of project outcomes (on budget, on schedule, to scope, to stakeholder expectations and with appropriately mitigated risks) for multi-disciplinary, complex projects.
Demonstrated highly developed influencing and relationship management skills;
Demonstrated leadership within a multi-disciplinary team environment;
Demonstrated exceptional communication and information presentation skills, both written and verbal;
Demonstrated success in transition and change management for multi-disciplinary, complex projects; and
A flexible approach including sound judgement in relation to resolving project delivery issues.
