The Position
CSIRO Health and Biosecurity in Sydney, NSW, has an opening for an experienced Computational Biologist. CSIRO is Australia's national science organisation and one of the largest and most diverse scientific research organisations in the world.
CSIRO has a long history in DNA methylation technology and biomarker development, including the co-invention of bisulfite-sequencing and together with partners, we have translated a DNA methylation based diagnostic for colorectal cancer recurrence, available now on the US market.
As the successful candidate you will join the award-winning Precision Health Diagnostics team. Presently, we are developing DNA methylation-based diagnostics in areas such as cancer, metabolic disease and brain trauma. In this role you will lead the analysis of methylome data for biomarker discovery in the execution of internal and external projects for clients.
