CSIRO is looking for a creative communicator with a flair for producing compelling content and a strong understanding of digital media. In this exciting role, you will work as part of a team to plan and implement the delivery of CSIRO’s stories across a wide array of social media and communication platforms.

Your duties will include

• Working proactively with the team to implement effective communication plans and content posts across digital and social channels.
• Researching, writing and editing content including blog posts, social media posts, video scripts, and web copy.
• Monitoring social media and, where appropriate and under advice, moderating and responding to posts.
• Providing admin support and training to the Corporate Affairs team across all social media channels and databases.
• Providing metrics across all social media channels upon request.

Location: Negotiable - Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane
Salary: AU$62k – AU$79k plus up to 15.4% superannuation
Tenure: Indefinite

To be successful you will need

• Relevant qualifications or work experience in an area such as communication, PR, or digital and social media
• To be a creative communicator with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• To be able to show demonstrated engagement with digital and social media coupled with a good knowledge in this area.
• The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, management and stakeholders at all levels.
• To be able to show initiative and the ability to be responsive in the media environment.
