CSIRO's Information and Technology (IM&T) division is embarking on an ambitious portfolio of work designed to support the organisations strategy. Underpinning the portfolio is a desire for staff to have seamless, secure access to tools, systems and processes that back the delivery of world class science.

As a Technical Lead for Domain Namespaces and Addresses (DNA) you will be required to work with immediate team members as well as geographically and technically distributed teams, across the architecture model to grow and develop capabilities and supporting a large diverse DNA portfolio.

Your duties will include:

  • Lead the implementation of technical deliverables of the DNA team
  • Provide guidance to projects regarding technical activities, scheduling, and resource requirements
  • Help customers realize business value and increase their security posture as they transition to a zero-trust model of being able to access any app and service from anywhere in a secure and governed way.
  • Design, deliver and develop the capabilities of the DNA team. These services include the AD Domain Controllers, AD Federation Services, AD certificate services, DHCP/DNS on Windows and Linux and the maintenance of IPAM (IP Asset Management System)
  • Lead lifecycle management and service improvement activities across all DNA Services
  • Coaching and mentoring of fellow team members

Salary: AU$102k - AU$111k plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be considered you will need:

Essential:

Under CSIRO policy only those who meet all essential criteria can be appointed.

  1. Significant experience planning, designing, and implementing the technologies at an enterprise scale. CSIRO operate the technologies below:
    • Active Directory Domain Services
    • DHCP/DNS on Windows and Linux
    • PowerShell scripting and automation languages
    • Basic programming concepts
  1. Demonstrated experience utilising automation for maintaining and administering the above technologies.  
  2. Demonstrated ability in providing technical advice to the team, clients and management. Demonstrated ability in coaching and mentoring of junior staff.
  3. Excellent communication skills, including an ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary, geographically disperse teams.

Desirable:

  1. Significant experience planning, designing, and implementing the following technologies:
    • Programming in PHP, Python
    • Windows and Linux Server Maintenance
    • Certificate services
