What you need to know...

  • permanent full time - 70 hours per fortnight
  • salary - $71,671 - $85,469 per annum, plus superannuation
  • location - Maclean

About the role

In this role you will perform complex system administration functions including upgrades, performance tuning, application of security policy, service monitoring and problem investigation and resolution.

You will also apply innovation and analytical skills to the design, implementation and support of our Information Systems and their underlying information architecture.

In this role you will provide technical advice, training, education and general awareness of new systems and infrastructure to other members of the technical team and staff.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Consult with users to determine requirements and implement innovative solutions;
  • Scope and research projects to deliver quality outcomes and implement change
  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Coordinate the rollout and configuration of hardware and infrastructure
  • Assist users over the phone and in person with complex IT Support issues
  • Maintain patch levels and antivirus across the user base computers
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying availability of resources, systems and key resources
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of systems documentation
  • Develop user training guidelines and documentation

This position is located at Council's Maclean office, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
