THE OPPORTUNITY

To produce, review and edit content (including copy, imagery, videos, social media feeds) for various Library Digital presence channels. Where appropriate, conduct presentations and training in web content production, as well as provide specialist advice and support to the , web content owners and writers across the Library.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO

  • Assist in development, presentation, editing and coordination of content for the Library’s web and mobile channels.
  • Ensure a consistent style and voice is used across all web and mobile content.
  • Contribute to guidelines such as writing for the web and web publishing and assist in the provision of training around these guidelines.
  • Provide recommendations and advice on web and mobile content and digital channels and structure.
  • Ensure the implementation of all University policies that relate to the areas for which the position is responsible, in particular, those relating to equal opportunity, occupational health and safety, risk management, staff development and staff performance planning and review.

ABOUT YOU

  • A diploma or degree in professional writing and editing; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in, and a creative flair for writing, editing and proof reading content for digital channels.
  • Demonstrated high-level knowledge and skills in the areas of professional writing which is optimised for the web and mobile devices and designed to support information architecture and communication strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to source, write, edit and proof-read web and mobile content.
