We offer an exciting opportunity for a Security Analyst ($83,274 - $92,085) to join our world-leading institution at James Cook University (JCU). This full-time, continuing appointment can be based at one of our world class facilities at JCU Cairns or Townsville
What you can accomplish in the Role
Working alongside security and technology teams in JCU you will monitor ICT services (on premises, hosted, and cloud) and the external environment for cybersecurity vulnerabilities, malware, other threats and incidents, and coordinate appropriate responses.
Applying high level analytical skill and incident handling experience, on a daily basis you will be hands-on analysing cyber-threat intelligence, correlating actionable events, and coordinate mitigation and prevention strategies across the university.
What you will bring to the Role
Using your analysis and reporting skills, you will report on cybersecurity metrics with which to measure the effectiveness of information security controls. The ability to provide regular operational vulnerability and incident reports to stakeholders is key to your success, as is identifying urgent matters for escalating to management.
