The Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute is dedicated to finding cures for cardiovascular disease through world class medical research. Established in 1994, it is the legacy of legendary heart transplant surgeon Victor Chang. Renowned for the quality of its breakthroughs, the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute is working to discover better ways to diagnose, treat and ultimately prevent the onset of heart disease.
The roles
We are seeking enthusiastic research assistants and postdoctoral scientists to join a collaborative initiative in cardiovascular disease genomics between the Inherited Heart Diseases Laboratory led by Professor Diane Fatkin and the Computational Genomics Laboratory, led by Associate Professor Eleni Giannoulatou.
The successful candidates will be involved in the analysis of high-throughput genomics datasets of cardiovascular disease patients.
Duties and responsibilities include:
The successful candidates will be working within a team in a collaborative manner to aid the genetic diagnosis of cardiovascular disease.
The position is part-time funded for 1 year, with the potential for extension
