About the Position:

The Centre for Research in Evidence-Based Practice (CREBP) is directed by Paul Glasziou (current NHMRC Australia Fellow).  This is a multidisciplinary team of experienced and well-known researchers, including medical and allied health researchers, who share a commitment to conducting research which closes the gap between research evidence and its application in practice. We are offering a part-time computer software developer the opportunity to work in an academic medical research environment in the CREBP. This role presents opportunities to be involved in a University-based team and would suit a candidate with an interest in academic publication. An interest in medical research is helpful but non-essential as the role involves primarily computer science based.

About the Person:
To be successful for this position the candidate will have a degree in Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognized educational institution OR substantial progress towards such a degree OR equivalent industry qualifications or experience in a commercial or educational workplace.

They will also possess experience of NodeJS and/or front-end frameworks (specifically ExpressJS and AngularJS frameworks respectively). Other skills such as database knowledge or general *nix experience are desirable but non-essential if the candidate is willing to learn new skills.

The position is offered at up to 2 days per week for 6 months.

The hourly rate for this appointment is $36.96 per hour plus 9.5% superannuation pa.
