The Australian Signals Directorate needs capable and motivated System Administrators to fill a number of vacant roles at the ASD4, ASD5 and ASD6 level, across multiple teams. 

As an ICT Systems Administrator you will be accountable to perform and achieve systems administration work within an integrated workforce at varying levels of complexity. You will also provide systems administration, technical, professional and policy advice at various levels of detail.

As an ICT Systems Administrator you will work collaboratively in a team environment to contribute to solutions and goals of a non-routine or contingency nature. In addition, you will be required to communicate with, respond and provide advice to a range of stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.

They will have

  • a willingness to learn (from others and independently); and
  • an ability to think critically to apply technical expertise to unconventional situations.

Citizenship - To be eligible for employment with ASD, applicants MUST be an Australian citizen.

Health Assessment - The preferred applicant may be required to undergo a medical examination conducted by the Agency’s preferred medical provider.

Organisational Assessment – To be eligible for employment within ASD, the preferred applicant will be required to undergo an Organisational Assessment (see Organisational Assessment section in the Information Pack).

Security Clearance - The preferred applicant will be required to successfully undergo the security clearance vetting process at a specified clearance level. The preferred applicant MUST be willing to disclose all relevant and required information.
