DSTs Information Management & Technology Branches (IM&T) provide specialised and advanced scientific computing solutions to maintain DSTs position at the forefront of Australian Defence innovation and National Security operations.  IM&T are an integrated, multi-disciplined, eResearch capability that fosters a culture of excellence, as well as strong client partnerships dedicated to supporting DSTs research needs.

IM&T are seeking skilled and enthusiastic eResearch Analysts to join a new team of eResearch analysts embedded in DSTs scientific divisions, working in partnership with DST researchers to develop and deliver innovative research solutions.  The embedded eResearch analyst will work to accelerate DST researcher’s application of advanced scientific computing, expanding eResearch capabilities across the DST scientific domains which include maritime, land, aerospace, joint and intelligence.  Applicants may either have a strong ICT background, preferably in a science environment, or have a science background with significant ICT knowledge and the ability to interact with researchers, connecting ICT and science. You will be required to have relevant qualifications (preferably an academic degree or higher) and demonstrated experience.  The positions are open to those in the early stages of a career at S&T level 3, through to experienced scientific computing professionals at S&T level 4.
