We are looking for self-motivated individuals with a background in Information Technology to join our ICT cells that provide support Defence courses conducted by Army at Kokoda Barracks Canungra QLD. We have the highest utilisation of IT within Army training course which will increase with digitisation, increased employment of simulation and contemporary learning suites. Those future requirements will be increased significantly by the formal direction to continually increase digitisation of our training and exploit opportunities to contemporise our training methodologies.                   

This position is crucial to the maintenance of all network infrastructure (equipment and software), maintenance and accounting of over 800 mobile devices (laptops, tablets) and ancillary equipment. Other aspects of this role which provide valuable support to are:

• Updating the business operating procedures
• Complying with local Information System Security Practices and Procedures
• Ensuring business continuity not sure what this means? What do you do to ensure continuity?
• Provide support to video teleconferencing, audio visual and other training technologies
• Data migration and backups to the Defence Restricted Network
• Extended hours helpdesk support
• Liaison with Defence contractors for any matters relating to our stand alone network system or ICT infrastructure within Kokoda Barracks
