ISREW Maritime SPO within ISREW Branch, Joint Systems Division seeks to fill a number of EL1 Engineering Manager positions within the Decoys and Sensors Acquisition Business Units. Both the Decoys and Sensors programs are high profile in nature involving complex electronic warfare system development and critical domestic and international stakeholder engagement.

ISREW Maritime SPO is seeking experienced and enthusiastic systems engineering managers to set the engineering direction for these highly exciting programs to ensure successful delivery of electronic warfare equipment to the ADF. Successful candidates will have experience in Defence engineering management, be exceptional people managers, possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and demonstrate strategic thinking at the EL1 level.

These positions will offer candidates exposure to high profile projects with complex stakeholder environments and critical capability outcomes for Navy. The Decoys Acquisition Business Unit manages the Nulka Capability Program for Navy and is comprised of multiple projects at various stages within the capability life cycle. This role will support all projects including SEA01397PH5B – Launcher Sub-System Upgrade, SEA01397PH5C- Nulka Decoy Enhancements and Low Rate Production, SEA01397PH5D – Nulka Missile Decoy Production and SEA01397PH6 – Enhanced Nulka all of which involve complex engineering activities and unique industry support arrangements. The program is complex in nature, not only working in a technology focused environment but supporting a wide variety of stakeholders including the United States Navy through the Nulka Joint Program Office in Washington.

The Sensors Acquisition Business Unit supports the acquisition and development of a range of sensor and communications equipment for the RAN. This role will involve management of engineering activities across the Sensors program with crucial involvement in the ES3701 system and supported equipment. Communication and coordination between the acquisition and sustainment elements of the sensors program are critical to ensuring success in this role. These roles require a Positive Vetting security clearance, which may be required to commence the role. If not, a minimum of Negative Vetting 2 is required to commence in the role.
