ICT System Administrator

APS Level 4
$69,811 - $76,215 (plus Super)
Richmond – NSW

The Role

The System Administrator oversees Content Management System software that the Air Force operate to plan and control Air Mobility flying operations. The System Administrator manages user and backend ICT administrative requirements, and engages with the software vendor and network administrators to ensure the effective operation of the system.

Duties include:

  • Routine system administration and first-level support functions
  • Reporting and tracking of system malfunctions in coordination with users, server administrators and software vendor
  • Coordinating user-testing of software releases
  • Coordination of Air Force’s requests for system improvements and enhancements
  • Providing advice on ICT operational/administrative issues
  • Develop and maintain business reporting products in collaboration with Air Force users
  • Supervise a junior ICT graduate

As the supported system is a proprietary tool, applicants will not have previous system-specific experience, so will be trained in the frontend operation and system administration processes. Higher-level support channels are in-place, provided by the server-host and software vendor, that the system administrator coordinates as required.
