We are looking for motivated and experienced Researchers, Engineers & Technologists/Technicians with a passion for working collaboratively and problem solving.  You will have the opportunity to apply your science and technology expertise in the areas of Space, Artificial Intelligence (AI) or High Speed Weapons (HSW). The Role:

As a Senior Researcher you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of science in a nominated research discipline to international standards. You will conceive research problems and undertake original research to solve science and technology challenges for Defence.

As a Senior Technologist/Technician you will have the opportunity to implement scientific and engineering methodologies to solve problems of considerable complexity.

In these roles you will:

• Collaborate with leading scientists within the science & technology enterprise on priority areas for Defence, building and sustaining a network of internal and external research partners across academia, industry and Government
• Use your scientific knowledge and expertise to generate new knowledge to produce enhanced capability for clients and sponsors in a science capability
• Deliver high quality scientific or engineering reports including briefs and presentations
• Manage allocated resources, set work area priorities, manage workflows, develop strategies and evaluate business outcomes
• Work collaboratively, operate as an effective team member and provide constructive feedback

A merit pool of suitable applicants will be created to fill current vacant positions. The merit pool may also be used for future positions in the event a position becomes vacant within the 12 months from gazettal date of this position.
