The Role
Within the division of Enterprise Transformation and Governance, an EL1 Assistant Director Records Management Policy is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve departmental planning, implementation and work programs in support of the Archives Act 1983. You will require an in-depth knowledge in records and information compliance related to the legislative frameworks and Commonwealth Government policy.

An EL1 Assistant Director will exercise a considerable degree of independence and perform a leadership role. Exercising sound decision-making and judgement in providing expert policy advice to a very diverse network. The opportunity to work across large-scale records and information management functions leading the development of practical policy related frameworks and procedures across Defence military and civilian environments. You will engage in complex problem solving and coordinate reviews that affect strategic and operational outcomes for Defence.

A leadership role within Enterprise Records Management provides the opportunity to work within a true strategic centre of Defence. Individuals will be able to lead and drive the delivery of activities that touch all areas of the organisation and build strong networks of likeminded professionals along the way. In this role you will be responsible for actively managing key stakeholder relationships and develop communications strategies to educate and embedded change.

Please note: *Expected Salary Range Effective 18 August 2022 - $108,195 - $122,044 (plus Super)*
