The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a PEL 1 Library Project Manager within Library Collections & Databases Branch. 

The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is responsible for a wide range of services and facilities, working closely with the Department of the Senate, the Department of the House of Representatives and the Parliamentary Budget Office to support the operations of the Parliament and its Committees. 

The Parliamentary Library provides research services to the Parliament, including responding to requests from individuals for information and research services and the production of general distribution briefs and publications. The Library also provides information services to the Library's clients through our print and online collections and databases, including the Library databases in ParlInfo and the Electronic Media Monitoring Service, and through the Library catalogue, intranet sites, and external websites.

The Library is recruiting for an experienced professional to fill the Library Project Manager role. The Library Project Manager will lead and manage library ICT and Library projects that contribute to the Parliamentary Library work plan. This role will work with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to procure high quality services and implement innovative solutions. The role will manage the Library's digitisation projects team to digitise and quality assure unique parliamentary collections. As the Library Project Manager you will contribute to the delivery of Library projects and services.

Our ideal candidate will: 

  • have proven experience in staff management, with the ability to lead, train and mentor staff
  • have experience managing projects within an IT or Library environment
  • have a tractk record of successfully managing complex project
