Quality Officer

The Opportunity

Commencing from $98,617 plus 15% Superannuation

ActewAGL’s Environment, Quality and Systems team are looking for an experienced, and adaptable individual to lead the delivery and improvement of the organisation’s quality management function and framework. This includes maintaining and managing the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring the organisation continues to meet and improve on relevant ISO standards, and measuring and reporting on the organisation’s quality performance.

At the heart of it, success in this role would see you engaging and collaborating with stakeholders to drive and build a culture of continuous improvement, providing guidance and assistance to the business to realise greater value from their processes and practices, and in turn maximising the value of quality management practices.

About your role:

Working within the Environment, Quality and Systems Branch you will:

  • Shape quality framework for the organisation that aligns to the organisational strategy, determining relevant standards and certifications, as well as defining KPIs for measurement.

  • Take a leadership role in all aspects of the Integrated Management System (IMS) to meet and improve on ActewAGL’s operating environment. 
  • Initiate and drive the delivery of approved quality improvement projects.

  • Provide meaningful quality performance reports to senior stakeholders.

  • Work collaboratively with business areas on quality planning, control, assurance and improvement of business practices and operations.

  • Improving and streamlining management system documents.

  • Ensure a quality systems audit program is developed and conducted as per the schedule in conjunction with the internal audit function.

  • Provide education, mentoring, advice and support to management system document owners to improve documents and their use.

  • Investigate quality incidents, near misses and non-conformance trends

    To succeed in this role, you will possess the following:

  • Relevant tertiary degree in business or quality management or   equivalent relevant experience

  • Certification in quality management, audit or investigations or relevant work experience

  • Demonstrated experience in quality and process improvement
