ActewAGL’s Evoenergy IT Branch within the Technology Division is looking for someone who is highly organised, motivated and technically strong to join their team as an Application Support Analyst.

Reporting to the Customer Technical Lead, the Application Support Analyst will be responsible for supporting a variety of applications to ensure they are adequately maintained, and that operational issues are resolved in a timely manner. You will be working to implement new business needs, analyse requirements of end users, and also provide support in testing and integration between applications.

As part of this role, you will also be responsible for managing application environments and for designing, testing and implementing changes in accordance with business requirements.

Your day in the role:

  • Collaborate with IT Infrastructure, DBA, Operations, Change and Release, and Development Project Teams to provide ongoing operational support of the Dev/Test/Prod environments for Operational Technology systems.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation and procedures including Application Support and Operating Procedures, System and Technical Configuration Documentation and User Training for applications.
  • Provide operational application support to Evoenergy end-users by using the Incident and Problem Management process.
  • Provide functional and technical SME assistance in the resolution of application operational, process and capacity/performance issues.
  • Provide assistance with root cause analysis and address system configuration, operational and performance issues that affect Operational Technology systems.
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of change by following the Change Management process.
  • Provide functional and technical SME expertise to the ongoing development of new and enhancement of existing applications.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Demonstrated application support analyst experience, with experience also in business and process analysis in complex ICT environments.
  • Technical knowledge of desktop operating systems and utilities and integrated business application environments.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and ability to resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to remotely troubleshoot IT application technical issues.
  • Experience working within a utility environment.
  • Strong understanding of knowledge management and how it applies to application support services.
  • Ability to build relationships and work with internal and external stakeholders.
