Solution Designer - Network and Facilities

As an Network and Facilities Services Solution Designer, you will develop Customer proposals that reflect cost effective technical solutions that meet our customers' needs while aligning with Cenitex's Infrastructure architectures and designs, standards and guidelines provided for Whole of Victorian Government (WoVG).

The role will work day to day and collaborate closely with Solution Designers, Architects, Technology Leads and Service Leads in the Infrastructure Services and Workplace and Application Services teams. From time to time you may be required to provide clarification and guidance to Cenitex's Customer Engagement Team to assist them capture and validate Customers' requirements and provide technical clarifications to Customers on Cenitex's proposals.
With Strong analytical and technical strengths, you will be responsible for the delivery of quality proposals that meet the Customers documented requirements.


Day to day you'll be expected to:

  • Design quality, cost effective, robust solutions that address customer requirements incorporating the right mix of technology that meet the needs of the customer.
  • Create proposals that reflect Cenitex's Catalogue of Services
  • As the Customer Subject Matter Expert support Customer Engagement outcomes by providing clarity of solution components and interdependencies into the customer organisation through representation in planning and review meetings
  • Liaise with Cenitex's Customer Engagement representatives if required to better understand customers' underlying needs to design suitable solutions
  • Collaborate with multiple senior internal and external stakeholders regarding proposed solutions in order to achieve and maintain ongoing support from both technical and customer groups
  • Provide expertise and direction around technical aspects of technical solutions to ensure alignment with relevant architectures and standards
  • Actively contribute to the enhancement of architecture standards and process improvements by identifying opportunities improvement
  • Analyse, assess and make recommendations on new or emerging technologies and their potential value to the customer and Cenitex

  • Strategic thinker and commercially astute, with strong track record in developing customer focussed and commercially sound proposals for technology and business solutions
  • Dedication to customer service with demonstrated experience in identifying, leading and implementing initiatives that deliver an improved customer experience
  • Superior stakeholder management skills with the ability to credibly communicate, negotiate and influence strategic outcomes at all organisational levels
  • Significant experience and track record in developing, designing and interpreting architecture documents and solutions in a complex technical environment
  • Ability and focus to work and collaborate with other skilled groups within Cenitex to respond to customer needs and deliver timely proposals that provide Customer value
