About the role

The Product Delivery Engineering team within WorkSafe’s Technology Division is responsible for the development, engineering, quality assurance and security of products to ensure the services are delivered against agreed Service Level Agreements, Enterprise Architecture and product and platform release cycles.

The function includes the use of contemporary methods and tools to implement product changes in line with business expectation and industry standards With a strong learning mindset, an in-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure, the DevOps Engineer will assist with the development and support of large-scale application platforms (Salesforce or Mulesoft) proactively contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and integration between developers and IT operations within the team.

Key accountabilities:

  • Maintenance of the Salesforce CRM, Digital and Mulesoft DevOps Platform in alignment with application and platform specific SLAs
  • Technical responsibility across all stages and iterations of software development inclusive of adopting appropriate software development methods, tools and techniques to support critical systems on Salesforce and/or Mulesoft platforms
  • Lead and facilitate the deployment and maintenance of applications and assist the product team in solution design
  • Proactively support continual improvement in the availability, scalability and performance of the applications deployed on the DevOps platform
  • Provide guidance and advice to both Technical & Business Users support including query resolution.

About you

You are an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong analytical and communication skills. You have a proven ability with automated configuration management using tools such as Ansible and Chef. You have a passion for creating high quality documentation for knowledge sharing and are a team oriented person who enjoys delivering and making an impact on your team and stakeholders. Further, you will also possess:

  • Demonstrated experience with designing, implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions preferred)
  • Experience in version control, preferably GitHub/BitBucket/GitLab
  • Knowledge of Containerization and Orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Splunk preferred). Proactive monitoring and alerting to notify on symptoms before outages occur

Good to have:

  • Salesforce Administration experience
  • Knowledge of network topology and cloud infrastructure architectures
  • Experience with Scripting in languages such as Python, Shell, PowerShell

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer Science
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer
