Business Analyst Consultant - Clerk Grade 7/8 – Information and Communications Technology

Legal Aid NSW helps people with their legal problems. We can help people with most areas of criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues. We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution. We can do this over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices.

About the role

This is a temporary full-time role up to 1 October 2024.

We are embarking on some exciting projects that support the organisation’s vision. You will be part of the team that makes the difference for our customers.

In this role, you will be undertaking research and detailed analysis for business problems, systems and processes in order to arrive at the best and optimal solution to meet business needs while working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Currently we have an immediate vacancy. Through this recruitment we will be filling the immediate vacancy as well as creating a talent pool for the other opportunities, as they become available. 

About you

As the Business Analyst you will have;

• Demonstrated experience in research and analysing business needs across complex environment.
• Experience in reviewing business processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and design of solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in developing business requirements, process model and test plans.
• High level attention to detail and ability to negotiate and influence
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Excellent soft skills, facilitation skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multi team setting.
• Demonstrated experience in user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with business, subject matter experts, ICT teams, and implementation partners to develop effected systems and applications.

We may use this recruitment to create a talent pool for similar ongoing or temporary vacancies we have over the next 18 months.

The essential requirements for this role

You must:

• be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before you start work with us
• be willing to do a Criminal Record Check and/or Working with Children Check
• hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary vacancies)
• Relevant tertiary and/or professional qualifications in ICT or related discipline; or demonstrated experience reviewing and analysing organisational business intentions, services, processes and information needs to identify changes leading to business improvements
