Senior Data Analytics Engineer
We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Engineer to join our Trusted client in the Rail Industry. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of advanced data acquisition, analysis, and reporting features. You will also provide technical expertise in troubleshooting, customer support, and product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and implement new features in data acquisition, analysis, and reporting software.
- Define and document system-level test plans and contribute to product documentation.
- Lead technical discussions with customers to extract requirements and drive product enhancements.
- Provide engineering design reviews and respond to technical queries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data acquisition and processing pipelines.
- Improve automated system diagnostics and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Contribute to product roadmaps and new technology integration.
- Work closely with service teams to provide timely customer support.
- Support Business Development and Product Managers with technical inputs for tenders and roadmaps.
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills (Mandatory):
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years of industry experience in data acquisition and signal processing.
- Expertise in SDLC, MATLAB, data analytics, and sensor/technology selection.
- Experience in high and low-level design, including system integration and advanced signal processing.
- Broad multidisciplinary engineering knowledge.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience with electromechanical systems and the rail industry.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML techniques for algorithm development.
- Role location availiable in Adelaide, Perth or Melbourne
Essential Traits:
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows OS.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with a customer-first mindset.
Bonus Skills (Desirable but not required):
- Proficiency in SQL, Java, C, and Python programming languages.
