ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Test Analyst will independently plan and conduct testing activities for assigned projects, guided by the Test Lead. Responsibilities include analysing testing requirements, creating and executing test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of project requirements (both functional and non-functional), and addressing regression impact. Adherence to OCMS PMF and utilization of existing testing practices and tools are essential for achieving successful project outcomes.

This is a 12 month, maximum term role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyse testing requirements and contribute to the drafting of requirements traceability matrix
  • Contribute to the creation of Project Test Strategy, Test approach and Test Plan.
  • Create and execute manual test cases using Xray/Jira
  • Contribute to ongoing Project Test Progress/Status Reporting and create Test Summary Report
  • Identify high-priority regression testing scenarios
  • Maintain and update regression test suite for projects
  • Coordinate test activities, including detailed planning, scheduling, test case creation and test data creation.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including vendor resources, to agree on ways of working and deliver executed outcomes.
  • Coordinate with test and development team members/SMEs to resolve issues.
  • Support the ongoing improvements of the OCMS Testing Framework and Practices.

ABOUT YOU

  • Tertiary qualification in IT or equivalent
  • Industry experience as a Senior Test Analyst/Test Analyst (at least 5 years) working for medium to large sized and cross functional testing team, located across different locations
  • Exposure to MTM systems and or train control systems, railway IT infrastructure and technologies (highly desirable)
  • Prior project experience within Crew Rostering or transportation, especially railway (highly desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience working or liaising with offshore development and or testing team(s)
  • Demonstrated experience working experience with Waterfall, Agile and/or other delivery methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience with Functional, Regression, Integration (Dell Boomi), API, Testing Harnesses
  • Application Frontend / Backend testing experience
  • Experience testing web applications / device testing
  • Experience testing client server applications
  • Demonstrated interest in working with real time, mission critical systems
  • ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Test Analyst Certification or industry equivalent
