The Role
Joint Operations Command (JOC) are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and adaptable individual to provide key support to the Australian Defence Force (ADF). In this exciting role, you will join a branch that is responsible for delivering high quality and innovative live, virtual and constructive training in order to ensure that directed ADF elements are prepared to achieve success.
As a CFBLNet ICT Plans & Support Officer, your responsibilities include:
- Assist in Combined Federated Battle Laboratory Network (CFBLNet) program management.
- Responsible for Australian CFBLNet (AUS CFBLNet) administration.
- Manage AUS CFBLNet Governance documents and processes.
- Responsible for the CFBLNet Initiative Information Package (CIIP) process for the setup and execution of activities at Australian sites.
- Participation in CFBLNet working groups.
- Coordinate and liaise with stakeholders in the scoping CFBLNet remediation and upgrade activities.
About our Team
The J76 Joint Collective Training Simulation Delivery Directorate has a key role in the raise & sustain of the J7 Training & Simulations systems that support ‘Joint Collective Training (JCT)’.
The section scope covers the following J7 priorities:
- Generate a training environment that enables Joint Force interoperability with the US and other allies.
- Support Groups and Service collective and joint training through the provision of Joint Live, Virtual and Constructive (JLVC) simulation.
- Manage the Combined Federated Battle Laboratory Network (CFBLNet) program for the ADF.
- Represent JOC equities in modernisation and sustainment initiatives that address JLVC simulation.
- Managing the JOC Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case that supports Defence’s JLVC capability.
- Represent JOC at International events and forums related to JLVC simulation.
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in program and/or project management in an ICT related activity.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake complex work and contribute to strategic planning, and policy development.
- Experience, or aptitude in ICT data network requirements and operations.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve work unit and defence outcomes.
- Experience in use of MS Office suite of applications, and use of the ‘Objective’ application for Defence Records Management requirements.
