Systems Administrator
The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia's independent expert regulator for health and safety, structural integrity, well integrity and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters, and in coastal waters where regulatory powers and functions have been conferred. NOPSEMA also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR), for the offshore renewables industry. This includes the regulation of work health and safety, infrastructure integrity, and environmental management for offshore renewable energy infrastructure activities.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Systems Administrator to join our Information Management and Technology Team on a permanent basis at our Perth Office.
The Systems Administrator is a key member of the Information Management and Technology team responsible for procuring, implementing and administering computer systems and network infrastructure.
The role involves collaborating with ICT systems support and solution development staff and contractors in the assessing, selecting, building configuring, managing and maintaining ICT systems and networks.
Working as part of a busy dynamic team, you will be accountable for administering access, monitoring information security controls and responding to security incidents together with recommending innovative solution and practices to system administration activities and business processes.
You will play a lead role in the day to day system administration activities and provide advice and guidance on emerging ICT technologies and the development and implementation of fit for purpose solutions.
You will have demonstrated experience in Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server and Windows 10/11 environments. Experience of emerging security risks and controls and implementing security risk management policies and procedures is an essential requirement for this role. Experience of Linux administration would be advantageous. Experience with the offshore and onshore oil and gas industry would also be beneficial.
