Information Business Analyst

 

The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia's independent expert regulator for health and safety, structural integrity, well integrity and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters, and in coastal waters where regulatory powers and functions have been conferred. NOPSEMA also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR), for the offshore renewables industry. This includes the regulation of work health and safety, infrastructure integrity, and environmental management for offshore renewable energy infrastructure activities.

Role:

NOPSEMA is recruiting an experienced Information Business Analyst to join its Information Management and Technology Team at our Perth Office.

The Information Business Analyst will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure NOPSEMA’s information management systems meet business user requirements. The role provides a key point of liaison between regulatory subject matter experts and the technical and information management teams in NOPSEMA. 

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing and improving processes, identifying areas for efficiency gains, and collaborating with various stakeholders to implement effective solutions.

You will work closely with business units to promote information and data management responsibilities and participate in projects with vendors, contractors and ICT specialists to improve the EDRMS integration with business systems and software applications within the Agency.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced process-oriented Information Business Analyst to play a key role in optimising NOPSEMA’s business operations. You will demonstrate experience in business process and systems analysis and possess strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

You will demonstrate how you contributed to the delivery of successful outcomes for information management and technology projects. You should have the capability to consult, collaborate and negotiate effectively and strategically and demonstrate how to capture business requirements and present them in a form suitable for interpretation by technical roles.

You must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge in contemporary information management practices in an electronic environment.

You will be a strong team player, with the ability to take initiative to resolve issues and flexibility to shift tasks and manage priorities to deliver on operational needs in a fast-paced environment.
