Now that he has left one of the most coveted positions in the IT-business arena, former Google CEO Eric Schmidt has been using his time to write, it seems.

Mr Schmidt is known most recently for his extended treatise detailing his vision of the future in an Internet-connected world. Now that he has outlined the future, he will enlighten the world with lessons from his past.

Mr Schmidt was chairman of the company many others look to for guidance on how to run a productive, popular and profitable workplace. He will now presumably give up some of his secrets in an upcoming book called “No Adult Supervision Required: How to Build Successful 21st Century Companies.”

Mr Schmidt is reportedly co-authoring the book along with his friend and former business confidant at Google, Jonathan Rosenberg.

The book will be published by Business Plus, an imprint of Hachette Book Group, sometime in late 2014.

Schmidt operated as Google's CEO from 2001 to 2011, when co-founder Larry Page took the reins. Schmidt is now Google’s executive chairman.
