Microsoft has launched its new “BlueHat Prize” which is aimed at luring White Hat hackers - those who discover vulnerabilities in software -  to assist rather than breach security.

Microsoft has announced that whoever produces a runtime mitigation technology that best prevents the exploitation of memory safety vulnerabilities will receive USD$200,000, with the runner up receiving USD$50,000 and the second runner up receiving a year's subscription to Microsoft’s MSDN Universal developer’s platform, valued at USD$10,000.
