The National Broadband Network Co (NBN Co) has announced its fixed-wireless long term evolution (LTE) network will be trialed in April.

 

The 4G fixed-wireless network,  construction of which  was contracted to Ericsson, will be tested in Armidale, Tamworth, Toowoomba, Ballarat, Darwin and Geraldton over a period of six weeks in April.

 

NBN Co will be need to construct a series of a further 39, 40-metre towers to provide the LTE service.
