The Federal Government has announced a further 165,000 premises to be connected under the rollout of the National Broadband Network.

 

Maps  have been released for 40 areas covering an estimated:

 

  • 44,700  homes and businesses in New South Wales 
  • 31,200  homes and businesses in Queensland 
  • 27,600  homes and businesses in Victoria 
  • 27,100  homes and businesses in Western Australia 
  • 18,000  homes and businesses in South Australia 
  • 8,900  homes and businesses in Tasmania 
  • 8,300  homes and businesses in the Northern Territory

 

“The release of these maps shows that the NBN rollout is ramping up across Australia,  with NBN Co on track to meet its target of having construction commenced or  completed for 758,000 homes and businesses by the end of the year,” Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy Senator Stephen Conroy said.
