The National Broadband Network (NBN) Co has signed a contract with Victorian ICT company SPATIALinfo to supply software to manage the fibre-to-the-home physical network infrastructure for the rollout of the NBN.

SPATIALinfo will provide NBN Co with its spatialSUITE fibre network modelling products, to be used for planning, design, construction and maintenance operations.

SPATIALinfo’s products have been deployed in North America, and at Optus and formerly Telstra.

SPATIALinfo CEO Tony Cotter said the company competed with software products from all over the globe and were ultimately successful because of its modern, open architecture and strong local support presence, of particular importance due to NBN Co’s focus on Victoria for its engineering and construction activities.
