Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
The primary objective of the position is to design, develop and deliver efficient BI reports/dashboard and robust web applications that support the business functions and reporting framework (e.g. ABF) across WSLHD for a range of stakeholders. These systems include both clinical and non-clinical systems to improve the performance and efficiency of the organisation.
 
The position is responsible for managing all aspects of web application lifecycle development for ASP.NET applications and Microsoft Power App applications and provide expert knowledge across these development platforms.
 
The position is also responsible for maintaining the existing applications developed by the BAS unit, ensuring these applications continuously run efficiently and effectively and provide end user support.
 
This position is also to be involved with project management teams and lead the development of information systems and innovative solutions across WSLHD.

Essential Criteria:

Qualification: Information Technology degree/tertiary qualifications

Selection Criteria:

  1. Proven experience in development and design of BI Dashboard & Reports using MS SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI and Qlik technology.
  2. Proven experience in complete information system development life cycle, including system architect, design, development, test, delivery & maintenance, preferably in a Healthcare environment.
  3. Proven ability to develop complex information systems using various development/programming tools, including ASP.Net, MS Power App/Power Automate platform and Web Services in a predetermined timeframe. Desirable experience in using HL7 messaging technologies.
  4. Proven experience in Microsoft SQL Server Database administration and design, including writing functions, views and stored procedures.
  5. Advance system analysis and problem-solving skills, including experience in identifying and rectifying system faults within a minimum timeframe.
  6. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills appropriate to an environment of change and evolution.
  7. Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  8. Information Technology degree/tertiary qualifications as applicable to the position. Post-graduate qualifications preferred.
