Evoenergy’s Data and Analytics team are seeking a Senior GIS Officer to develop and maintain accurate GIS capability for our electricity and gas assets.

About the opportunity

At Evoenergy, we are looking for a motivated and hardworking Senior GIS Officer to join our Data and Analytics team.

In this role you will develop and maintain accurate GIS capability for Evoenergy’s electricity and gas assets. You will undertake data maintenance, governance and analysis whilst delivering GIS solutions through innovation and automation to achieve current and future strategic objectives.

We are looking for a confident, professional and experienced person who is committed to delivering projects to a high standard and is passionate about process improvement, value adding and delivering cutting edge solutions.

A day in the life:

  • Maintain spatial databases to ensure efficient and effective operation and provide specialist expertise and advice
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities and implement system enhancements
  • Develop, apply and audit standards, processes and procedures to safeguard data integrity
  • Assess the quality of data and produce reports highlighting data quality issues

About you:

  • Relevant tertiary level qualifications
  • You can demonstrate experience with the ESRI ArcGIS / ArcFM (or equivalent) suite of software.
  • You have proven experience in using spatial information systems for map production, spatial data capture, analysis, reporting and content management (preferably in a utility environment)
  • Proven track record in delivering innovative GIS solutions
  • Effective interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
