Purpose of the Role:

The Social Media & Content Specialist will be responsible for the development and implementation of social media strategy & campaign activity for the Baskin-Robbins brand, leading content creation and overseeing community management & engagement across all BR social platforms.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Strategy:

  1. Developing social media strategy for the Baskin-Robbins brand
  2. Executing the social media strategy and managing the social media channels
  3. Managing the written and visual content for the company's social media sites
  4. Reporting and measuring engagement across social media channels in order to assess the effectiveness and impact of our social media strategy
  5. Co-ordinating the production and scheduling of social media and online content across our various platforms
  6. Up-to-date knowledge with the best practices and trends on social media to identify opportunities

Community Management:

  1. Daily community management of across BR channels including guest feedback and correspondence with relevant departments
  2. Management of social advertising budget and optimization including audience targeting and content success testing
  3. Scheduling and publishing of posts across Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok
  4. Development of month content calendars featuring a mix of posts including competitions, promotions, UGC, franchise partner content and product news
  5. Collaborate with complimentary businesses to enrich social content offering
  6. Monthly reporting to inform future content and strategies
  7. Management of Instagram follower growth tool – Kicksta
  8. Monthly content creation – Photography and video
  9. Franchise Partner acquisition social media advertising campaigns and specific campaigns including new store openings
  10. Product development and mood board composition for on trend dessert products and cake designs.
  11. Franchise partner social media advice and support
  12. Management of franchise pages / Admin rights
  13. Create social strategy and implementation for potential VR brands across channels including content creations

Social Influencer:

  1. Implementation of influencer management system
  2. Manage social listening subscription (Sprout) and campaign implementation
  3. Instagram influencer campaign management via TRIBE
  4. Management and development of BR Ambassador program
  5. Manage high profile influencer outreach and relationships on campaign basis

Digital Projects:

  1. Support content and acquisition strategy for BR Delivery channel
  2. Oversee acquisition growth in Club 31 and BR Rewards app loyalty program
  3. Support with online cake strategy and influencer outreach
  4. Assist with website updates and OLO implementation
  5. Management of Google Business Pages across the BR network including review management and response
  6. Undertake digital projects as required.

People:

  1. Work closely with the marketing team to develop social media campaigns that help to achieve corporate marketing goals
  2. Regularly plan and review teamwork, acknowledge progress and celebrate success with team and individuals.
  3. Facilitate empowerment of people, coach employees on increasing their performance and efficiency and increasing operating efficiency and margins

Qualifications/ Skills requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing or a closely-related field; 3+ years’ experience in social media management
  • Hands-on direct social media management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in content creation and social media strategy with the ability to lead this specialised channel on behalf of the brand
  • Ideal candidate is currently working as Social Media Manager or have worked as Social Media Manager in the past
  • Influencer outreach management
  • Exceptional multi-tasking skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical, communication, project management and presentation skills
  • Commercial experience in Retail or Food & Beverage industry is desirable
